A Vivah Muhurat is usually shortlisted using the Tithi, Nakshatra, weekday and the lunar month. Wedding dates are traditionally not chosen in Chaturmas (from Devshayani to Dev Uthani Ekadashi), in Adhika Masa, or in Kharmas.

Nakshatras such as Rohini, Mrigashira, Magha, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Anuradha, Mula, Uttara Ashadha, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati are commonly preferred.

A calendar date is only the first filter. The couple's Kundli, the strength of Jupiter and Venus, family traditions and venue availability all matter, so the final Muhurat should be confirmed with your Shastri.
